After Jimmy retired in 2005, they returned to Greensboro. Her many talents included quilting which she dearly loved. She also enjoyed sewing, cooking, gardening and crafting. She was a member of the local Meadowcrest Club and the Georgia Association of Educators. Cheri was an active member of the Greensboro Presbyterian Church. She had the biggest heart and was always doing for others. Orphan Aid Liberia was a favorite organization that she made clothes and teddy bears for.
