Charles Linnie Channell
Charles Linnie Channell of Union Point, GA died on Wednesday, October 26, 2016 at Pine Pointe Hospice of Central Georgia in Macon, GA at the age of 79. Born on August 22, 1937 in Greene County he was the son of the late Pascal Channell and Janie Lou Wood Channell. His childhood was spent in Union Point and he graduated from Union Point High School. He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force. Before retirement he was working for the Union Point Post Office as a mail carrier and truck driver. Charles was definitely a country boy who enjoyed fishing, playing poker and all of his animals especially his dogs and his donkey. Being with his family, especially his great grandson, Ashton, was most important. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Union Point, GA.
He is survived by a daughter, Jan Oliver (Holt) of Eatonton, GA; sister, Betty Armor (Billy) of Gray, GA; sister-in-law, Patt Channell of Greensboro, GA; two grandchildren, Leslie Ann Knight and Bobby Gene Knight; great grandson, Ashton Jayden Jones; other relatives and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Jimmy Copelan Channell.
