Carolyn Joan Stryker

Carolyn Joan Mich Stryker, age 84, of Greensboro, Georgia died Sunday, April 13, 2025, at St. Mary’s Good Samaritan Hospital. Born on April 26, 1940, in New Brunswick, NJ, she was the daughter of the late Emil Andrew Mich and Margaret Carrie Mincenberg Mich. She was a graduate of New Brunswick High School in New Jersey. She married Harold Edward Stryker, Jr. on June 4, 1988, in Jacksonville, Florida. Before moving to Greensboro, they lived in Jacksonville Beach, Florida where she worked as a Head teller at First Guaranty Bank in Ponte Vedra, Florida.  She was multi-talented and enjoyed crocheting, flower gardening, sewing and cooking. She was a member of Lake Oconee Presbyterian Church where she enjoyed singing in the choir. She was also a member of the Del Tones.

In addition to her husband, Harold Stryker of Greensboro, GA, she is survived by her daughters, Jennifer K. Slater (Gary), Mattoon, IL and Michele L Brandt (Robert), Lynchburg, VA; sister, Dorothy Metka, Linz, Austria; deceased brother, Frederick Mich;  and grandchildren, Megan Winkleman (David Fisher), Windermere, FL, Matthew Brandt, Groton, CT, Ryan Brandt, Richmond, VA, Jordan Brandt, Lynchburg, VA, Joseph Stryker, California, James Stryker, California, Noelle Tummerallo, Canada, Ashley Stryker, Leonardo, New Jersey, and Andrew Stryker, Leonardo, New Jersey; other relatives and many friends.

Memorial Service was held on April 16. 2025 at Lake Oconee Presbyterian Church with Rev. Jeff Birch officiating.  The family requests that any memorials be made to Lake Oconee Presbyterian Church, 113 Scott Road, Eatonton, GA 31024.  McCommons Funeral Home, 109 W.
