Carol Diane (Underwood) Wray

Carol Diane Underwood Wray of Bairdstown, died Tuesday, August 23, 2022 at Piedmont Athens Regional at the age of 62.  Born in Greensboro, GA on May 21, 1960, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Betty Jo Adams Underwood.  Carol attended Greene County High School.  On December 3, 1976, she married Terry Eugene Wray and had been married forty years at the time of his death in 2016.  She was a seamstress at Style Rite until they closed and then worked for Macon Electric in Crawford.  Carol was a member of Bairds Baptist Church.  She took much pleasure being with and doing for her family.  She adored her granddaughter, Hailey.  Along with her husband they both enjoyed fishing and riding horseback.

Survivors include a son, Tracy Wray of Union Point, GA; a daughter, Melissa Wray Stovall (Eugene) of Eatonton, GA; granddaughter, Hailey McCook; and brothers, Michael Underwood and Gary “Pete” Underwood; a number of other relatives and many friends.

Funeral Services will be held Friday, August 26, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at Bairds Baptist Church, 42 Bairdstown Loop, Union Point, GA 30669 with Rev. Danny Holdredge officiating.  Interment will follow in the church cemetery.  Serving as pallbearers are Gill Wray, Tim Wray, T. J.
