Bruce Bishop Obituary

Bruce Albert Bishop of Madison, Georgia, died Tuesday, November 15, 2022 at Madison Health and Rehab. Born in Greensboro on June 19, 1944, he was one of eleven children born to the late Randall Melvin Bishop and Nora Lou Head Bishop. He spent his life in Madison, GA and graduated from Morgan County High School in 1962. After high school, Bruce had a longtime career with Conyers Welding and Machine Shop as a machinist and welder.  He was a member of Beacon Heights Baptist Church in Madison.  Collecting rocks, growing flowers and just being outdoors made him happy. 
Survivors include his daughter, Jennifer Berse of Monroe, GA; son, Ronnie Bishop of Comer, GA; and his siblings, Randall Bishop, Kenneth Bishop, George Bishop, Wayne Bishop, Larry Bishop, Donald Bishop, Louellen Rouse, Denise Hillsman and Cheryl Nelson; 8 grandchildren and 8 great, great grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his sister, Nita Callahan and grandson, Dylan Jones.

The family will hold a memorial service at 11am on Wednesday, November 23, 2022 at Lakepoint Community Church in Madison, GA 30650. The family requests that any memorials be made to Madison Health & Rehab, 2036 South Main Street, Madison, GA 30650 to help patients in need.  McCommons Funeral Home, 109 W.
