Brenda Ray Aiken Oulsnam, age 71, of Greensboro, GA, died Wednesday, August 16, 2017 at St. Joseph's Hospital in Atlanta, GA. Born on March 11, 1946, in Macon, GA she was the daughter of the late Robert Ray Aiken and Annie Louise Hooper Aiken. She graduated from Monticello High School and attended Young Harris College. She earned her BS at the University of Georgia and a Master's Degree from Georgia State. On March 12, 1967 she married Donald William Oulsnam, and they proudly celebrated their 50th Anniversary recently. For thirty-two years she taught junior high at Clayton County Schools, retiring in 1999. They moved to Greene County from Jonesboro in 1998, and Brenda became a health educator for TenderCare Clinic. Brenda was a world traveler, visiting 6 of the 7 continents. She enjoyed spending time with her family (always cheering them on), helping others, teaching Bible studies, sewing, and following the Bulldogs. She was a devoted disciple of Christ and a member of the Greensboro First United Methodist Church.
Survivors include her husband of fifty years, Donald William Oulsnam of Greensboro, GA; son, Donnie Oulsnam (Tasha) of Gray, GA; daughter, Amanda Stefanakos (James) of Graniteville, SC; brother, Robby Aiken (Sharon) of Monticello, GA; six grandchildren, Ethan, Nicholas, and Ellie Oulsnam and Maia, Xander and Phebe Stefanakos; other relatives and many friends.
Memorial Services will be held on Saturday, August 26, 2017 at 3:00 p.m. at the First United Methodist Church South Campus, 4741 Carey Station Road, Greensboro, GA 30642 with Rev. Mike Morgan and Rev. Hugh Hendrickson officiating. Inurnment will be in West View Cemetery, West View Street, Monticello, GA 31064 at a later date. The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. until time for the service at the church.
