Brenda Griffin Obituary
Brenda Marie Kemp Griffin, age 79, of Greensboro, Georgia, passed away on Sunday, May 11, 2025, at Piedmont Athens Regional. She was born on November 2, 1945, in Vero Beach, Florida, to the late William Theodore Kemp and Gladys Marie Yates Kemp. On May 12, 1960, she married James Neilson Griffin, Sr., and in 1982, they relocated to Greene County. Brenda was a dedicated mother and homemaker who lovingly raised their six children. Her interests included gospel music, watching religious programs on television, decorating, and cooking for her family. She also enjoyed shopping and fashion, featuring a distinctive sense of style and always being well dressed. Brenda was a member of Union Point Worship Center. She faced her life's challenges with faith and strength, and while she will be deeply missed, her legacy endures.
Her survivors include three daughters: Deanna Holcomb and her husband Ricky of Greensboro, GA; Lynn Brown and her husband Michael of Madison, GA; and Kristy Cullars of Union Point, GA; three sons: Neil Griffin Jr. and his wife Susanne of Greensboro, GA; Jamey Griffin and his wife Missy of Greensboro, GA; and Jonah Griffin of Greensboro, GA; sixteen grandchildren; thirty-seven great-grandchildren; along with many other relatives and friends.
Funeral services are scheduled for Friday, May 16, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Union Point Worship Center, located at 4981 Lamb Ave, Union Point, GA 30669. Reverend Candy Arwood will officiate. Interment will follow at Greenlawn Cemetery on Rhodes Street, Union Point, GA 30669. Pallbearers include R. J. Holcomb, Shane Griffin, Joshua Griffin, Jamey Griffin, Owen Benkoski, Krista Cullars, and Bradley Benkoski.
