Brenda Gail Askew

Brenda Gail Askew, age 78, of Greensboro, GA died Friday, March 15, 2024 at her residence. Born in Greensboro on June 28, 1945, she was the daughter of the late Charles Wover Askew and Edna Patrick Askew. She attended school at Meadowcrest. Brenda helped her brother Gene Askew at Lakeview Restaurant at Lake Oconee. She was a member of Walker United Methodist Church of Greensboro. Over the years, Brenda enjoyed reading, word puzzles and coloring books as well as her dog, Fluffy.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Charles Edward Askew in December of 1974 and Gene Askew in June of 2023; and her pet companion, Fluffy. She is survived by her sister, Christine Hallman of Greensboro, GA; her brother, Mike Askew of Greensboro, GA; and many nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.

Graveside Services will be held on Monday March 18, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at Greenview Cemetery, Memorial Drive, Greensboro, GA 30642 with Rev. Don Railey officiating. McCommons Funeral Home, 109 W.
