Bonnie McShan Dalton

Bonnie Marie McShan Dalton, age 66, of Eatonton, GA died on Wednesday, September 8, 2010 at Piedmont Hospital in Atlanta, Georgia. Bonnie was born August 21, 1944 in Dallas, Texas to the late Clifton Loyd McShan and Viola Beatrice Green McShan. She graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School in Dallas, Texas in 1962 and the North Texas State University in 1966 with a degree in Early Childhood Education. She received a Masters in Education and Specialist Degree from William Carey College in Hattiesburg, Mississippi and began her teaching career in elementary school in Mississippi and taught in Arkansas and Oklahoma. She then sold real estate in Mississippi until her retirement in 1991. She married Tolbert Marion "Toby" Dalton on May 11, 1991 and lived in Dallas, Texas from 1991 to 2003 when they moved to Eatonton, Georgia. She was an active and devoted member of Grace Fellowship of Greensboro, where she was past prayer chairman of the Community Bible Study and was also a part of the team of ladies that lead bible study in the Greene County Jail. Throughout her life she was a devoted teacher and beloved wife, mother, grandmother, friend and follower of Jesus Christ.

She is survived by her husband, Toby Dalton of Eatonton, GA; three daughters, Amy Knight Doherty and husband Daniel of Suwanee, GA, Julianne Dalton Keil and husband Phillip of Denton, TX and Audrey Dalton Sequenzia and husband Samuel of Dallas, TX; two sons, Michael Alan Knight Jr. and wife Hope of Cumming, GA and John T. Dalton and wife Tonya of Dallas, TX; sister, Doris Jo McShan Coats and husband Bob of Irving, TX; ten grandchildren, Hannah Doherty, Andrew Doherty, Emma Doherty, Emily Tomczyk, Daniel J. Tomczyk, Judson Sequenzia, Kinsey Knight, Mak Knight, Jack Dalton and Kate Dalton; and numerous other relatives and friends.

A celebration of her life will be held on Sunday, September 12, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at Grace Fellowship Church, 1971 S. Main Street, Greensboro, GA 30642 with Dr. Jimmy A. Long officiating. A reception will be held after the service in the Fellowship Hall at Grace Fellowship Church. The family requests that any memorials be made in Bonnie''s memory to the First Call Pregnancy Center, P.
