Bobby Hart Obituary

Bobby Walter Hart of Greensboro, GA, passed away Sunday, January 17, 2021, at Saint Mary’s Hospice House in Bogart, GA. Born on January 6, 1933 in Atlanta, GA, Bobby was the son of the late Hixson Sylvester Hart and Annie Inez Bozeman Hart. He graduated from Campbell High School in Fairburn, GA, in 1949. On October 8, 1960 he married the love of his life, the wonderful woman he would spend the next sixty years with, the former Linda LaJoy Scantland. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy during the Korean War. Bobby had a successful career working with Delta Airlines in Atlanta for 37 years, where he became an engine planner in production control. Before moving to Greensboro in October 2012, he and Linda had lived in Fayetteville, GA for forty-five years. Bobby was a member of Fayetteville First Baptist Church. His kids would see him studying his  Sunday School lesson every Saturday night. When his children were young, he coached girl’s softball and boy’s baseball. He was an avid Georgia Bulldog fan, enjoyed the Atlanta Braves and golfing. Family was very important to him. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. Every morning, before he left to go to work, he would quietly enter his children’s room and kiss them goodbye. This is the love of a caring Father lived out daily. He reared his children to love the Lord and made sure they understood where their salvation lies, with Jesus. All four of his grandchildren have accepted Christ. Bobby has assuredly developed a Christian legacy that will live on
for many generations.
In addition to his wife of sixty years, Linda Hart of Greensboro, GA, he is survived by his son, Alan Hart and his wife Stephanie of Tallahassee, FL; his daughter Laura Boswell and her husband Benjie of Greensboro, GA; a sister, Ann Benefield of Griffin, GA; four grandchildren, Walker Boswell, Dane Boswell, Peyton Hart, and Jordan Hart; nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many dear friends. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his siblings, James Hart, Marion Hart, Howard Hart, Norman Hart, and Dorothy Hart.
The family will hold a private graveside service.  The family requests that any memorials be made to Penfield Presbyterian Church, c/o Christine West, 3541 Athens Highway, Greensboro, GA 30642.  McCommons Funeral Home, 109 W.
