Bobbie Lary O’Rear Rocker, age 92, of Crawfordville, Georgia died on Sunday, April 13, 2025, at her residence. A lifelong resident of Crawfordville, she was born May 11, 1932, the only child of the late B. G. O’Rear and Mildred Moore O’Rear. She was a graduate of Alexander Stephens Institute in Crawfordville, GA. She married Bobby Gene Rocker on October 31, 1951. Along with her husband she worked for the state of Georgia as a probation officer and helped him on the dairy farm. Bobbie was a devoted member of Crawfordville Baptist Church where she taught Sunday school for many years and also taught at Margarets Grove Baptist Church. She had a deep love for dogs, especially English bulldogs. Her many talents included growing flowers, gardening and cooking.
She is survived by her daughter Bonnie Gee Rocker of Crawfordville and grandson, Bobby Rocker (Kristen) of Milledgeville, and a number of other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Gene Rocker.
Memorial Services will be held Wednesday, April 16, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at McCommons Chapel, 109 W. Broad Street, Greensboro, GA 30642 with Pastor Jay Beeland officiating. The family requests any memorials be made to Helping Hands Humane Society, 198 Broad St, Crawfordville, GA 30631. McCommons Funeral Home, 109 W.
