Betty Ann Epps Scoggins

Betty Ann Epps Scoggins, age 73, of Washington, GA, died Sunday, February 21, 2016 at PruittHealth in Washington.  Born in Union Point on February 11, 1943, she was the daughter of the late Viola Meadows Epps and Robert Epps, Sr.  She grew up and attended school in Union Point.  Betty was a seamstress for Chipman Union and later was the office manager for Great American Loan Company.  She was a member of Washington Church of God.  She thoroughly enjoyed travelling and being with her children and grandchildren.  

Survivors include two daughters, Freda Scoggins Bradford (Andy) of Tignall, GA and Penny Scoggins Netherton (Kevin) of Augusta, GA; sister; Doris Epps Maltby of La Habra, CA; grandchildren, Morgan, Zoey, Hailey, Drew, Hope, Faith, and Belle; great grandchildren, Khloe, Brayden and Mailyn;  many other relatives and friends.  She was preceded in death by two brothers, Robert Epps, Jr. and Cecil Epps.
 
Funeral Services will be held, Thursday, February 25, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at Callaway Chapel, 208 N. Rhodes Street, Union Point, GA 30669 with Rev. Joyce Wilkinson officiating.  The family will receive friends, Thursday, from 10:00 a.m. until time for the service at Callaway Funeral Home.  Serving as pallbearers are Travis Burnett, CeCe Epps, John Robert McGowan, Drew Bradford, John Goulet and Mike Meadows.  Interment will follow at Greenlawn Cemetery, Rhodes Street, Union Point, GA  30669.  Callaway Funeral Home, 208 N.
