Betty Ann (Wray) Durham

     Betty Ann Wray Durham, age 96, passed away Tuesday, November 12, 2024, at Parkside Post Acute and Rehab Center in Snellville, Ga.  She was born April 22, 1928, in Union Point, Ga, the oldest of five daughters of the late John Wray and Eula Mae Bodiford Wray.  She graduated from Union Point High School, as the valedictorian of her class, and married M. C. Durham in 1945. When he passed away in May of 2020, they had been married for almost 75 years.  She was a housewife and homemaker who enjoyed taking care of her family, which included three children, four grandchildren, and five great grandchildren.
    She is survived by three children: Brenda Lee Durham, Georgia Baptist, RN, Stone Mountain, Ga, Kerry Lynn Durham, Georgia State, Systems Analyst, Southern Company, Freeport, Fl (Gail-CPA) and Kay Durham Jernigan Mahne, Georgia State, Math Professor, Oxford, Ga, (Doug-LPTA); four grandchildren: Michelle Jernigan Lightcap CFO, Canton, Ga., (Jim-Design Engineer), Samuel Calvin Durham, Georgia Tech, Penn State, UNC, Served in Navy EOD, Engineer, Hobe Sound, Fl., (Ashley-RN), Natalie Ann Moran, Gwinnett Technical College, Registered Respiratory Therapist, Lawrenceville, Ga, (Dwayne-Law Enforcement) and Matthew Joseph Durham, Trevecca Nazarene University, received Masters of Divinity, Nashville, Tn; five Great Grandchildren: Jack Calvin Durham, Grant Samuel Durham, Jacob Reis Moran, Mason Ybarra Moran, and Isabel Faith Moran; and sisters, Carol Young, and Martha Cronic.  She was preceded in death by her sisters, Dorothy Dalman and Jean Yearwood Ogletree.
    Graveside Services were held Saturday, November 23, 2024 at 12:00 p.m. at Greenlawn Cemetery, Rhodes Street, Union Point, Ga 30669 with Rev. Bruce Lovin officiating. The family had a private visitation at Callaway Funeral Home. Callaway Funeral Home, 208 N.
