Barbara Alston Lowry

Barbara Alston Lowry passed away Sunday, September 23, 2007 in Greensboro, Georgia. Barbara was born in Logansport, Louisiana on December 16, 1933. She was a graduate of Logansport High School and Louisiana State University. Barbara married William Whitehead Lowry and lived most of her life in Shreveport, Louisiana. She was an active member of the Shreveport Junior League and St. Paul''s Episcopal Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Francis Hardy Alston and Frances Garland Alston of Logansport. She is survived by her husband, William Lowry, her daughter, Quincy Lowry McWilliams of Columbia, South Carolina, and three grandsons, Adam Winthrop McWilliams, Alston Kincaid McWilliams, and Cody Hamilton McWilliams. She is also survived by her sister, Doris Virginia (DaGin) Alston Stewart of New Braunfels, Texas, nephew, Kennon Hardy Guglielmo and family of San Antonio, Texas, cousins, Porter Dowling of Logansport and Nancy Garland Morgan of Ruston, and aunt, Peggy Garland of Shreveport.
