Barbara Poss Bradley

Barbara Poss Bradley, age 66, of Greensboro, GA, died Thursday, February 2, 2012 at her home, surrounded by her loving family. Barbara was born on July 26, 1945 in Greensboro, GA to the late Willie Dee Poss and Willie Lou Thompson Poss. She attended school at Greensboro High School and married Melvin Pierce Bradley of Greensboro, GA thirty-six years ago. She worked for Mary Leila Cotton Mill, and Bryan Scott where she was a packager in the packing department. Barbara also worked for Chickopee in Athens and worked as a clerk for Marretts in Greensboro, GA. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Greensboro.

Barbara is survived by two daughters, Sheryl "Priss" Rutherford and husband Wayne of Barnwell, SC and Shanna Bradley Holcomb and husband Randy of Milledgeville, GA; three sons, Robby Janes and wife Debbie of Greensboro, GA, Chris Janes and wife Paige of Greensboro, GA and Tyrone Janes of Greensboro, GA; five sisters, Mary Callaway Stewart of Madison, GA, Carolyn Hardy and husband Bill of Milledgeville, GA, Shirley Tate and husband Bo of Greensboro, GA, Melissa Hunter and husband Franklin of Washington, GA and Vicki Starr and husband Jim of Madison, GA; grandchildren, Eric Janes, Marissa Janes, Christopher Janes, Jeremy Janes, T. J. Janes, Bradley Janes, Peyton Janes, Deavon Janes, Ava Holcomb, Blake Janes, Destiny Janes, Brandon Bridges, Christopher Bridges and Jessica Lord; great grandchildren, Kayleona Brown, Landon Janes, Ella Grace Janes, Xavier Janes, Jordan Janes and Jayden Janes; and many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Melvin P. Bradley in March of 2010; a son, Brad Pierce Bradley; five sisters, Dianne Christian, Eleanor Silvey, Willie Rebecca Meek, Hazel Ruark and Emma Dell Chandler; and a brother, William Joseph "Billy" Poss.

Funeral Services will be held on Sunday, February 5, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. at the McCommons Chapel with Rev. Wayne Usry officiating. Interment will follow in the Greenview Cemetery, Memorial Drive, Greensboro, GA 30642. Serving as pallbearers are Frankie Hunter, Kevin Poss, Jim Starr, James Thompson, Mike Thompson and Charles Smith.
