Ann (Ellison) Adams

Nellie Ann Ellison Adams, age 87, of Union Point, GA, died Friday, December 25, 2020 at Memorial University Hospital in Savannah, GA.  Born in Unadilla, GA on April 23, 1933, she was the daughter of the late Nellie Louise Huff Ellison and Samuel W. Ellison.  She graduated from Greensboro High School and in 1953 she married George Thomas Adams.  For many years she worked for Rutherford’s Flower Shop in Union Point, GA.  Prior to that she helped her husband on the family farm.  She loved reading, crossword puzzles, flowers, and especially her family.
    
Survivors include two sons, Paul Stacy Adams and wife Sally of the Liberty Community and Donald Jay Adams and wife Lorine of Greensboro, GA; brother, John Ellison; grandchildren, Sherra Adams, Richard Adams, Zeb Adams (Kelly) and Johnny Adams (Whitney); 14 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren; several nieces, nephews; many friends; and her beloved dogs, Dolly and Fatback.  She was preceded in death by her husband, George Thomas “Buddy” Adams and her son, Richard Thomas Adams.

Memorial Services will be held, Wednesday, December 30, 2020 at 3:00 p.m. at McCommons Chapel, Greensboro, GA 30642 with Rev. Wayne Usry officiating. The family will receive friends Wednesday, December 30, 2020 from 2:00 p.m. until time for the service at McCommons Funeral Home.   McCommons Funeral Home, 109 W.
