Andy Garfield “Buddy” Davis, age 56, of Greensboro, GA, died Sunday, October 29, 2006. He was born on April 30, 1950 in Orange County, Florida to the late Andy Garfield Davis, Sr. and Pearl Idelle Deason Davis. He grew up and attended schools in Orlando, Florida and moved to Greene County in the 1960’s. He did residential construction as the owner and operator of Davis Construction. In his spare time he enjoyed fishing, hunting, restoring old cars and tinkering in his shop.
He is survived by his wife, Kareen Webb Davis of Greensboro, GA; son, Brandon Scott Davis and wife Kim and her children, Kodi and Kurt of Moreland, GA; an adopted son, Ryan Peaks; a sister, Joyce Walls of Thomson, GA; a brother, Lawton Davis of Orlando, FL; and a number of other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his siblings, Royce Davis, Winston Davis, Kyle Moon, Billy Moon and Garlene Davis.
Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, November 1, 2006 at 2:00 p.m. at Wesley Chapel Wesleyan Church with the Rev. Tim Tabler officiating. Interment will follow in the Webb Family Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers are Glenn Taylor, Richard Tolbert, Donald Ogle, Billy Hammond, Delmus Powell and Jim Woodall. Honorary pallbearers are Bobby Kimbrough, Albert McNair and Boyd McNair.
