Adrienne Weiling Vanasco

Adrienne Weiling Vanasco of Greensboro, GA died June 14, 2022 while at home.  She was born on November 6, 1941 in New York to the late Henry Yip of San Francisco, CA and Margaret Lane Yip of New York City, NY.  She graduated from Hofstra University in 1964 and received a Masters of Social Work from Loyola University, Chicago in 1994 with honours from Alpha Sigma Nu, the National Jesuit Honor Society. Adrienne worked as a Clinical Social Worker from 1994 until 2012.  She was a member of the National Association of Social Workers, recipient of several awards across her distinguished career including: Walter Reid Medical Center Q.U.E.S.T. for Excellence Award (Q.U.E.S.T. is Quality Understanding, Excellence, Safety and Teamwork); Silver Touch Award for three+ commendations; and the Bronze Torch Q.U.E.S.T. Award for two commendations. Her many interests are included community theatre, playing bridge, ballet, cooking, travelling, reading, and enjoying time with family and friends.

Survivors include her sons Robert Christopher Vanasco of Evanston, IL; David Stephen Vanasco and wife Pattie of Evanston, IL; Matthew Edward Vanasco of Tuscon, AZ; and her daughter Danielle Elizabeth Vanasco of London, United Kingdom. She is also survived by her grandchildren: Alessandra Lane Vanasco, Isabelle Sophia Vanasco, Meghan Emilia Vanasco, Christian Alexander Vanasco and Andrew Harrison Vanasco.

A Funeral Mass will be held Wednesday, July 20, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at Christ Our King and Savior Catholic Church, 6341 Lake Oconee Parkway, Greensboro, GA  30642 with Father Michael Silloway officiating followed by a reception in the church’s Sacred Heart Social Hall.
