Wilma Stanley Burns, age 79, of Eatonton, GA, died Sunday, July 22, 2012 at her residence. She was born in Bowling Green, Kentucky on July 19, 1933, the daughter of the late Robert Stanley and Laura Katherine Smart Stanley. She graduated from Bowling Green High School and received a degree in Commercial Art from Atlanta Area Technical School. She worked for Georgia Industry and Trade as a commercial artist. In January of 1953, she married Neilan LaMarr Burns. She was a loving mother and grandmother and enjoyed her painting as a hobby.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Neilan LaMarr Burns in March of 2010. She is survived by two sons, Robert Burns of Atlanta, GA and Raymon Burns and wife Jeanette of Eatonton, GA; two sisters, Linda Russell and Sheila Dermody both of Bowling Green, KY; three grandchildren, Jonathan Burns, Matthew Burns and Thomas Burns; and a number of other relatives and friends.
Graveside Services will be held on Saturday, July 28, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. at the Walker Church Cemetery, 2730 Walker Church Road, Greensboro, GA with Rev. Tom Elliot officiating.
