Willie Ford Andrews
Willie Ford Andrews of Union Point, GA, died on Friday, November 28, 2014 at St. Mary’s Good Samaritan Hospital in Greensboro at the age of 87. A lifelong resident of Greene County, he was born June 7, 1927 in Greensboro, GA to the late Cortez Rawhide Andrews, Sr. and Addie Belle Studdard Andrews. At the age of sixteen he began his working career at Union Manufacturing in Union Point, GA where he worked until his retirement. Ford was a hard worker who enjoyed fishing, camping and keeping his yard. He attended First United Methodist Church of Union Point.
Ford was preceded in death by his wife, Annette Huff Andrews and his siblings, Virginia Gheesling, Ida Merritt, Mattie Hopkins and John Andrews. He is survived by three sisters, Ellie Mae Andrews Nash of Greensboro, GA, Nona Andrews Tolbert (Comer) of Greensboro, GA and Delores Andrews Galloway of Tallapoosa, GA; two brothers, George Andrews (Pansy) of Greensboro, GA and Cortez Andrews, Jr. of Greensboro, GA; a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Graveside Services will be held Saturday, December 6, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. at Greenlawn Cemetery, Rhodes Street, Union Point, GA 30669 with Rev. Bert Mathews officiating. Callaway Funeral Home, 208 N.
