William Thomas “Billy” Nash, Jr.
William Thomas “Billy” Nash, Jr., died Wednesday, November 5, 2014 at Boswell Parker Health and Rehabilitation in Greensboro, GA. He was 84. He was born in Washington, GA on August 17, 1930 to the late William Thomas Nash, Sr. and Lydia Ardelle Armour Nash. He attended school at Alexander Stephens Institute in Crawfordville, GA. In January of 1954 he married the former Ellie Mae Andrews. For forty-two years he worked for Mr. J.B. Dolvin at Greene County Motor Company as a supervisor retiring in 1992. Billy had a variety of interests including gardening, fishing, farming and working with animals. He was a member of West End Baptist Church in Greensboro and the San Marino Lodge #34.
In addition to his wife, Ellie Mae Andrews Nash of Greensboro, GA, he is survived by a daughter, Brenda Nash Sanders and husband Edward of Dallas, GA; a son, Keith Nash and wife Lillie of the Macedonia Community; grandson, Andy Nash and wife Mandi of Newborn, GA; sister, Florence Nash Moon and husband Fred of Greensboro, GA; and a brother, Walter Charles Nash and wife Irmgard of Greensboro, GA. He was preceded in death by a sister, Hazel Nash Noggle.
Funeral Services will be held, Friday, November 7, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at McCommons Chapel in Greensboro, GA with Rev. Dennis Garner officiating. Interment will follow in the Greenview Cemetery, Memorial Drive, Greensboro, GA 30642. The family will receive friends Friday from 10:00 a.m. until time for the service at McCommons Funeral Home. Serving as pallbearers are Andy Nash, Chris Nash, Michael Nash, Herman Thomas, Tommy Moon, and Bruce Lee. McCommons Funeral Home, 109 W.
