William Moseley Obituary

William Rolf “Bill” Moseley of Reynolds at Lake Oconee, Greensboro, GA died Saturday, February 10, 2018 at his residence at the age of 76. Born February 2, 1942 in Savannah, GA, Bill was a son of the late Mary Kate Causey Moseley and Rolf Earl Moseley. He graduated from Sydney Lanier High School in Macon, GA and was also a graduate of Georgia Tech in Atlanta, GA with a degree in Chemical Engineering. Later he received an MBA while working in Beaumont, TX for ExxonMobil. For six years he proudly served his country in the United States Army Corps of Engineers during the Vietnam War. In 1966 he married Dolores Ramey the mother of his children. At the time of her death in 2009, they had been married forty-two years. His job as a Chemical Engineer took him from Alaska to Texas and Virginia.  After retirement he moved from Vienna, VA to Reynolds in Greensboro, GA.  On April 27, 2013 he married Deborah Lyn Dukes. He enjoyed traveling and took a number of cruises around the world. Scandinavia, Australia, New Zealand, South America, Russia, Eastern Europe, New England and Canada were only a few of the trips he took with the ExxonMobil Retirees Club. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Greensboro and an avid golf player.

In addition to his wife, Deborah Moseley of Greensboro, GA, he is survived by his two daughters: Catherine Matos and husband David and Suzie Lutz and husband Jason both of Atlanta, GA; brother, James Lee Moseley of Morgantown, WV, as well as five grandchildren, Marc Patrick Matos, Sean Christopher Matos, Benjamin Reese Lutz, Leslie Carlin Lutz and Alex Lutz; many other relatives and friends.

Funeral Services will be held on Friday, February 16, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at the First United Methodist Church North Campus, 202 W. Broad Street, Greensboro, GA 30642 with Rev. Mike Morgan and Rev. Hugh Hendrickson officiating. Interment will be held at the Vienna City Cemetery in Vienna, Georgia at 3:30 p.m. Serving as pallbearers are Dave Matos, Jason Lutz, Alan Parrish, William Dukes, Joe Collier and Don Bonner. Prior to the service the family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the First United Methodist Church Family Life Center and a reception will be held after the service in the Family Life Center.
