William Roy Henson, age 56, of Greensboro, GA, died Sunday, May 4, 2008 at his residence. A lifelong resident of Greene County he was born on April 12, 1952 to the late Wilburn D. Henson and Mindie Louise Branch Henson. He attended Greensboro High School. Roy was a carpenter and roofer, but was a jack of all trades and was welled liked by everyone who knew him.
He is survived by a daughter, Betty Wimbish of Eatonton, GA; a son, Michael Greer of Greensboro, GA; four sisters, Doris Hardigree of Macon, GA, Kathryn Howell of Madison, GA, Hazel Southerland of Perry, GA and Mary Jim Haley of Lake Oconee, GA; two brothers, A. M. Henson of Buckhead, GA and Kirk Henson of Ft. Valley, GA, three granddaughters, Faith, Brianna and Alliyah all of Eatonton, GA; two aunts, Laburcha Henson of Greensboro, GA and Betty Henson of Madison, GA; an uncle, James Willie Branch of Greshamville and a number of nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, other relatives and friends.
Graveside Services will be held on Tuesday, May 6, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. at Swords Methodist Church Cemetery in Buckhead, GA with Rev. Eddie Shumake officiating.
