William Goss, Sr Obituary

William Leslie “Bill” Goss Sr., 58, of Union Point, GA, died April 16, 2004 at his residence. He was born in Morgan County on September 9, 1945 to the late Thomas Goss Sr. and Christine Schuebert Goss. He attended Morgan County High School and received a business degree while serving in the United States Army for 20 years. He lived in Union Point for the last ten years and was in charge of maintenance and drove the school bus for Nathanael Greene Academy. He also owned and operated a lawn care service. He is survived by two daughters, Jeanette McClintic and husband Kevin of Savannah, GA, Jamie Jackson and husband Cody of Salt Lake City, Utah; three sons, Robert “Bobby” Goss and wife Sherry of Danielsville, GA, William Leslie “Billy” Goss Jr. and wife Alison of Greensboro, GA, and Joseph Wesley Goss of Union Point, GA; two sisters, Charlene Black of Greensboro, GA and Debbie Dominy of Greensboro, GA; three brothers, James Roy Goss of Canton, GA, Thomas Wesley Goss Jr. of Union Point, GA, and Joe Fredrick Goss of Silver, GA; four grandchildren, Nicki Goss, Kyndall Goss, Branson McClintic and Rafe Jackson; and a number nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by a brother Harold Grayson Goss. Funeral services will be held Monday, April 19, 2004 at 3:00 p.m. at Wesley Chapel Wesleyan Church in Greensboro with Rev. Tim Tabler and Rev. Farrett Boswell officiating. Serving as pallbearers are John Satterfield, Clint Goss, Todd Smith, Jamie Rhodes, Travis Goss, Clay Goss, Doug Goss and Paul Goss. The family requests that contributions be made in memory of William Leslie “Bill” Goss Sr. to the Nathanael Greene Academy Building Fund, P.O. Box 109, Siloam, GA 30665. The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Sunday afternoon at the funeral home. McCommons Funeral Home, 109 W.
