Wayne E. Leach

Wayne E. Leach, age 63, of Greensboro, GA, died Sunday, October 31, 2004 at Athens Regional Medical Center. Born in Greene County on January 27, 1941, he was the son of the late Hugh Hails Leach and Hazel Phillips Leach. He graduated from Greensboro High School and later became the owner and operator of Leach Sand and Gravel. He was a member of Harvest Baptist Church of Jonesboro, GA. A  Survivors include his companion, Kathy Sibley; three daughters, Lanette Drennan and husband Rusty of McDonough, GA, Michele Gable and husband Robby of Williamson, GA and Rhonda Chitwood and husband Tom of McDonough, GA; a son, Michael Wayne Leach and wife Tanya of McDonough, GA; a sister, Elaine Webb and husband Niles of Greensboro, GA; six grandchildren; T. J. Chitwood, Tyler Chitwood, Logan Chitwood, Taylor Gable, Kaylin Gable and Elizabeth Leach; and a host of other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by a sister, Margaret Williamson; and two brothers, L. G. Leach and Hails Leach. A  Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, November 3, 2004 at 2:00 p.m. at Walker United Methodist Church with Rev. Buddy Norton officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Serving as pallbearers are Tom Chitwood, Rusty Drennan, Robby Gable, T. J. Chitwood, Darrell Padgett and Billy Leach. The family requests that any memorials may be made to the Walker United Methodist Church, 2730 Walker Church Road, Greensboro, GA 30642.
