Wanda Joyce Jacobs Harrington

Wanda Joyce Jacobs Harrington of Hull, Georgia, died Thursday, June 16, 2011 at the age of 60 at her residence surrounded by her loving family. Born June 20, 1950 in Bennettsville, Marlboro County, South Carolina Joyce was one of twelve children of the late Willis Jacobs and Christine Driggers Jacobs. She worked for Pet Frozen Foods in Lithonia, GA as a truck loader and dock worker. She was a member of The Sanctuary Church of Washington, Georgia. In her pastime she enjoyed fishing.

She is survived by two sons, John Foster Harrington and wife Susan of Conyers, GA and Bernie Lee Harrington of Hull, GA; five sisters, Barbara Jean Harrington of Lincolnton, GA, Ernestine Pressley and husband Melvin of Eatonton, GA, Francis Truitt of Washington, GA, Peggy Thomas and husband Jamie of Athens, GA and Connie Cummings of Hull, GA; five brothers, Eddie Jacobs and wife Shirley of Tignall, GA, Willis Martin Jacobs of Athens, GA, Billy Ray Jacobs and wife Barbara of Athens, GA, Jimmy Jacobs of Greensboro, GA and Daniel Lee Jacobs of Madison, GA; and a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her brother, Marion Jacobs.

Graveside Services will be held Saturday morning, June 18, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at the Buckhead Cemetery, Buckhead Road, Buckhead, GA 30625 with Rev. Alec George officiating.
