Walter Sidney Nicholson

Walter Sidney Nicholson , age 85, of Atlanta, GA, died Wednesday, December 7, 2011 at his residence. Mr. Nicholson was born in Maxeys, GA on April 13, 1926 to the late Joseph Marks Nicholson and Rosa Maxey Nicholson. He was a graduate of Maxeys High School and attended Business School, where he received a degree in accounting. He was an accountant for American Standard in Atlanta. He was a member of Druid Hills Baptist Church in Atlanta. After retirement he enjoyed gardening and walking. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother, Joseph Lamar Nicholson. He is survived by a nephew, Mark Nicholson and his wife Ann of Fayetteville, GA; other relatives and friends.

Graveside Services will be held on Saturday, December 10, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at Maxeys Sunset Cemetery, 366 Sunset Drive, Maxeys, GA 30671 with Rev. Dan H. Maxey, Jr. officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:00 noon until time for the service at Callaway Funeral Home in Union Point. Callaway Funeral Home, 208 N.
