Wallace Lee Taylor, age 69, of Greensboro, Georgia died Thursday, September 4, 2003 at his residence. Born in Laketown, Utah on March 15, 1934, he was the son of the late Joseph Warren Taylor and Alley Vernon Johnson Taylor. As Vice President of Construction for AMI Company, which is now Tenet Health Care, he oversaw the construction of hospitals internationally and had lived and worked in the Middle East and London.
Survivors include his wife Mary Anna Taylor of Greensboro, Georgia; two daughters, Veronica Wolthuis and Jeanine Smock; two sons, Devin Taylor and Jay Warren Taylor; a sister, Elaine Hatch and husband Dale; three brothers, James Taylor and wife Mickey, Lawrence Taylor and wife Gloria and Robert Taylor and wife Lidale; fourteen grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by two brothers Jay Taylor and Vernon Taylor.
Funeral services will be held Monday, September 8, 2003 at 10:00 a.m. at the chapel of Allen-Hall Mortuary in Logan, Utah. Burial will follow at Laketown Cemetery. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Sunday night, September 7, 2003 at Allen-Hall Mortuary. Memorial services will be held Sunday, September 14, 2003 at 3:00 p.m. at McCommons Chapel. The family requests that any memorials be made to United Hospice, 2604 Commons Blvd., Augusta, GA 30909.
