Vytautas Francisco Budrys

Vytautas Francisco Budrys, 84, of Greensboro, Georgia, passed away on Tuesday, May 16, 2017 at Landmark Hospital in Athens, GA. He was born in Lithuania on September 8, 1932. When he was five years old, his family moved to Milledgeville and he graduated from Milledgeville High School. Vytautas married Jeannie Bates in January of 2012.  He was a hard worker and worked for seventy-three years at Mohawk Carpet in Milledgeville, GA, where he retired as a manager. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed cutting grass and being outside with his dogs.  He also enjoyed working on his Dodge truck.

He is survived by his wife, Jeannie Bates Budrys of Greensboro, GA.  He is also survived by step-daughters, Annette Richards, Donna Bates, and Pat Bates all of Greensboro, GA and Lisa Wambles of McDonough, GA; thirteen step grandchildren and ten step great grandchildren.

Graveside Services will be held on Monday, May 22, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. at Heritage Memorial Park, 371 Log Cabin Road, Milledgeville, GA 31061 with Rev. Wayne Usry officiating. The family will receive friends Monday from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at McCommons Funeral Home. McCommons Funeral Home, 109 W.
