Virginia Nell Yardley Williams, age 94, of Woodville, GA, died on Saturday, March 30, 2013 at St. Mary''s Good Samaritan Hospital in Greensboro. Born in Greene County, Indiana, on June 14, 1918 she was the daughter of the late Richard Yardley and Florence Mabel Pugh Yardley. Mrs. Williams received her education while living in Virginia. She worked as an office manager for Empire State Chair Company in Atlanta. She moved to Woodville from Atlanta in the late eighties. She enjoyed her family, sewing and crocheting.
In addition to her husband, Alvin Henry Williams, Sr. who preceded her in death in October of 1979; she was preceded in death by her siblings, Robert P. Yardley, Richard K. Yardley, Paul Keith Yardley, Mary Morgan and Rebecca Young. She is survived by a daughter, Karen Elizabeth Oliver of Lexington, GA; a son, Buddy Williams of Woodville, GA; a sister, Suzanne Huckaba of McDonough, GA; six grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.
Graveside Services will be held Tuesday, April 2, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. at Crest Lawn Memorial Park, 2000 Marietta Blvd., NW, Atlanta, GA 30318 with Rev. Dennis Mitchell officiating. The family will receive friends Monday night from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at McCommons Funeral Home. McCommons Funeral Home, 109 W.
