Virginia Seals Obituary

Virginia Helen Seals, age 70, of Greensboro, Georgia, died on Tuesday, February 21, 2012 at St. Mary''s Hospital in Athens, GA. A lifelong resident of Greene County, she was born on April 20, 1941 the daughter of the late Noel Benjamin Seals and Annie Earlean Lacey Seals. She attended school in Siloam and Greensboro High School. After high school she attended Gro Industries in Greensboro. For the last ten years she had made her home in Greensboro under the care of Advantage Behavior & Lifetime, Inc. All of her life she attended Siloam Baptist Church. Virginia lived a full and happy life with family and friends. She was known for her gentle manner and loving spirit and caring very much for others.

Virginia is survived by her legal guardian and cousins, Marvin Bell and wife Belinda and their children, Kaitlin and Hannah Bell of Greensboro, GA; cousins, Tony and Dorothy Sue Bell of Greensboro, GA, Peggy and Marvin Chitwoood of Hayesville, NC, Barbara and Al Holloway of Thomaston, GA and Linda and Leo East of Stockbridge, GA; two aunts, Doris Lacey Corry of Greensboro, GA and Elizabeth Lacey of Hayesville, NC; and a number of other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by a brother, Marshall D. Seals; maternal grandparents, Grady P. Lacey and Delia Stewart Lacey; and paternal grandparents, M. N. Seals, Sr. and Sallie Seals.

Funeral Services will be held Thursday, February 23, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at Siloam Baptist Church, 1051 Church Street, Siloam, GA 30665 with Rev. James Bowen officiating. Interment will follow in the Siloam Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers are Williard Cooper, Dock Shelnutt, Dockie Shelnutt, Johnny Eley and William Broughton. The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until time for the service Thursday morning at Siloam Baptist Church. The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to Advantage Behavior and Lifetime Inc. for their excellent care given to Virginia for the last ten years.
