Vadie Hunt Obituary

Vadie Mae Shelton Hunt, age 60, of Greensboro, Georgia, died Wednesday, January 7, 2004 at Athens Regional Medical Center. She was born in Jackson County, Georgia on December 11, 1943 to the late Elger Leonard Shelton and Katie Queenola Worley Shelton. She attended Jackson County Schools, was a seamstress and a member of Union Point Worship Center.

She was preceded in death by her husband, R. B. Hunt of Greensboro, GA in June of 2003. She is survived by four daughters, Dorothy Grant and husband Carl Jr. of Greensboro, GA, Debra Silvey and husband Ricky of Union Point, GA, Lisa Thornton and husband Steven of Greensboro, GA and Jessica L. Hunt of Greensboro, GA; four sons, Samuel B. Hunt and wife Crystal of Eatonton, GA, Bobby Lee Hunt and wife Misty of Greensboro, GA, James Hunt and wife Rosilyn of Woodville, GA and Bryan Hunt and wife Jennifer of Eatonton, GA; a sister, Margaret Patat of Athens, GA; twelve grandchildren, Joshua Grant, Jennifer Grant, Joey Moss, Rebecca Moss, Jacob Thornton, Thomas Thornton, Ashleigh Hunt, Megan Hunt, Ethan Hunt, Tristan Hunt, Austin Tyler Hunt and Blake Hunt; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral Services will be held Saturday, January 10, 2004 at 2:00 p.m. at McCommons Chapel with Rev. Johnny Barrett and Rev. James W. Johnson officiating. Interment will follow at Greenview Cemetery in Greensboro. Serving as pallbearers are Michael Lanier, Jesus Tabares Sr., Robbie Sherrer, Brandon Silvey, Robert Boivin and Michael Walker.
