Toni Lewis Barnhart

Toni Lewis Barnhart, 53, of Buckhead, GA formerly of Greensboro died December 11, 2015. Toni was born on March 29, 1962 in Greensboro, GA to Thedeous Thurmond Lewis Johnson and the late Waldo Johnson Lewis, Sr.  Toni grew up in Greensboro and graduated from Nathanael Greene Academy in 1980.  After high school she attended Middle Georgia College and the University of Georgia.  Toni married David Barnhart on July 12, 1986.  They made their home in Greensboro and later moved to Buckhead.  She taught school at Nathanael Greene Academy and Morgan County Elementary.  Toni enjoyed reading, cooking and fishing.

In addition to her mother Thedeous Johnson of Greensboro, GA, survivors include her husband David “Rug” Barnhart of Buckhead, GA; three daughters, Valerie Barnhart, Bobbie Barnhart and Kelsey Barnhart; sister, Jana Chillemi; brother, Johnny Lewis; a number of other relatives and many friends.

Memorial Services will be held Wednesday, December 16, 2015 at 3:00 p.m. at McCommons Chapel in Greensboro, GA with Rev. Ed Nelson and Rev. Wayne Usry officiating. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 2:00 p.m. until time for the service at McCommons Funeral Home.  The family requests that any memorial donations be made in Toni’s honor to the Wounded Warrior Project (http://www.woundedwarriorproject.org/).  McCommons Funeral Home, 109 W.
