Thomas Morrow Obituary

Thomas Lee “Tommy” Morrow of Woodville, Georgia died Wednesday, January 18, 2012 at St. Mary’s Hospice in Athens, GA at the age of 69. He was born to the late Will Tom Morrow and Drew Willie Ayers Moon on October 29, 1942 in Crawfordville, GA. He grew up in Crawfordville and attended Alexander Stephens Institute. He worked for Hershell McCannon’s Salvage Yard as a mechanic. Forty years ago he married the former Leona Webb of Union Point. He is survived by his wife, Leona Webb Morrow of Woodville, GA; step daughters, Beatrice Thompson of Penfield, GA, Brenda Edwards of Siloam, GA and Esther Thompson of Greensboro, GA; a sister, Jane Morrow Whiddon of High Springs, FL; a nephew, Chris Carrithers; two nieces, Berta Ann Moon and Mary Frances Moon; 15 grandchildren; 34 great grandchildren; and one great, great grandchild. He was preceded in death by a stepson, Nicky Robert Huff; and a sister, Ruth Moon Huff. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, January 21, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at Callaway Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Ron Smith officiating. Serving as pallbearers are Robert Thompson, James Thompson, Jr, James Thompson, Sr, Mike Thompson, Steve Thompson and Talmadge McCannon. Interment will follow in Crawfordville Baptist Church Cemetery, 142 Memorial Drive, Crawfordville, GA 30631. The family will receive friends from 12:00 noon until time for the service at Callaway Funeral Home in Union Point, GA. Callaway Funeral Home, 208 N.
