Talmadge Lee Morrow
Talmadge Lee Morrow of Madison, GA, died Sunday, May 15, 2016 at St. Mary’s Good Samaritan Hospital in Greensboro, GA. He was 73. Born in Stone Mountain on October 2, 1942, he was the son of the late Earl Brooklyn Morrow and Eula Mae Hill Morrow. Talmadge attended school in Morgan County and later received his GED. He married the former Barbara Diane Moody of Union Point, GA. He worked for the Georgia Department of Transportation where he assisted with signs and maintenance of roads and retired in 2003 after nearly thirty-three years. He attended New Hope Baptist Church in Greshamville. When he was younger he enjoyed hunting. He also enjoyed rock collecting, especially arrowheads and like to tinker on lawn mowers. Before and after retirement, he would help some of the neighbors on their farms.
He was preceded in death by his wife of twenty-five years, Diane Moody Morrow in October of 2014; a sister, Mary Morrison; and three siblings at birth, Ben Mannel, Shirley Mae and Geneva Mae Morrow. He is survived by two sisters, Beulah Coker (Danny) of Madison, GA and Betty Shaw of Newnan, GA; three brothers, Reuben Morrow (Brenda) of Madison, GA, Roy Morrow (Gena) of Mississippi and James Morrow of Madison, GA; a number of other relatives and many friends.
Funeral Service will be held Wednesday, May 18, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at McCommons Chapel, 109 W. Broad Street, Greensboro, GA 30642 with Rev. Mike Pritchett officiating. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at McCommons Funeral Home. Interment will be in the New Hope Baptist Church Cemetery, 1400 Farmington Road, Greshamville, GA 30650. Serving as pallbearers are Tommy Turner, Nathan Morrow, Danny Coker, Jason Morrow, Russel Coker and William Malcom. McCommons Funeral Home, 109 W.
