Sybil Brooks Obituary

Sybil Evelyn Autry Brooks, 90, of Greensboro, GA widow of Leslie McBride Brooks, died Tuesday, December 17, 2002. Born April 10, 1912 in Anderson County, SC, she was a daughter of the late John Autry and Evelyn Powell Autry. She was a homemaker.

She is survived by a son Benson Brooks & wife Macy of Greensboro, GA; a sister, Sara Powell of Pelzer, SC; two grandchildren, Benny McBride Brooks and Cheryl Lynn Brooks.

Funeral Services will be held Thursday, December 19, 2002 at 2:00 p.m. at Gray Mortuary Chapel in Pelzer, SC with Rev. Terry Mitchell officiating. Interment will follow in Union Grove United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Thursday afternoon at Gray Mortuary. The family requests that memorials be made to the American Cancer Society. McCommons Funeral Home, 109 W. Broad St., Greensboro, GA, (706) 453-2626, is in charge of local arrangements.
