Susan Elaine Battle, age 61, of Dunwoody, GA, died Thursday, August 31, 2017 at Northside Hospital in Atlanta.  Born in Atlanta, GA on January 25, 1956, she was the daughter of the late Oscar K. Battle, Jr. and Margaret Jordon Battle.  She graduated from Sequoia High School and attended Truett McConnell College and the University of Georgia. She was employed by the Doraville Police Department and the DeKalb County Police Department as a warrant officer. Susan was a member of John’s Creek Baptist Church.
    
She is survived by a number of relatives and many friends.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Oscar and Margaret Battle and grandparents, David C. Jordan, Sr. and Mozelle Jordan and Oscar K. Battle, Sr. and Florey Battle.

Memorial Services will be held at the Arlington Memorial Park, 201 Mount Vernon Hwy, Sandy Springs, GA 30328  on Saturday, September 9, 2017 at 3:00 p.m. with Rev.
