Shirley Ann Wagnon Hardy of Union Point, Georgia, died on Tuesday, December 3, 2013 at the age of 72. A lifelong resident of Greene County, Shirley was born in Union Point on January 3, 1941, the daughter of the late Fred E. Wagnon and Lola Mae Underwood Wagnon. She attended Greensboro High School and was a homemaker. Shirley enjoyed going to movies, reading, talking daily to her friends and she especially enjoyed spending time with her grandson, Lucas. She was a member of Bethany Presbyterian Church.
Shirley is survived by a daughter, Cindy Moore and husband Larry of Greensboro, GA; brother, Wayne Wagnon and wife Estelle of Decatur, AL; a grandson, Lucas Moore; several other relatives and many, many friends.
Graveside Services will be held Thursday, December 5, 2013 at 12:00 p.m. at Bethany Presbyterian Church Cemetery, 2999 Bethany Church Road, Greensboro, GA 30642 with Rev. Reggie Haslett officiating. Serving as pallbearers are Jimmy Walker, Robert Simpson, Barry Walker, Ricky Newsom, Marvin Bell and Gene Coleman. The family will receive friends Thursday from 11:00 a.m. until time for the service at Bethany Presbyterian Church.
