Sherry Langolf Carson, age 50, of Greensboro, GA died Friday, August 26, 2016 at St. Mary’s Good Samaritan Hospital after an extended illness. A native of Melbourn, Florida, she was born on December 29, 1965, the daughter of Kenneth Alan Langolf and Florence Jean Mills Langolf.  She was a graduate of Walton High School in Marietta, Georgia.  For ten years she worked for Cobb County Government in the street sign department.  Later she owned and operated a General Store and Campground on Lake Wedowee in Alabama.  She moved from Jasper, Georgia to Greensboro in 2007, where she attended Walker United Methodist Church.  
 
Prior to her extended illness, Sherry was a NASCAR racing fan, an outdoor enthusiast and an avid water skier. She loved animals, especially those from the wild, but always had her favorite dog at her side. In recent years she fulfilled most of these loves from the vantage of her TV screen.
    
In addition to her parents, Ken and Florence Langolf of Greensboro, Georgia, she is survived by a sister, Shelley M. Williams (Tony) of Dallas, GA; a brother, Kevin Langolf of Athens, GA; niece, Jessica Espie (Tyler) and a nephew, Tyler Williams.  She was preceded in death by her beloved dog, Raggs.
 
Funeral Services will be held, Wednesday, September 7, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at Walker United Methodist Church, 2730 Walker Church Road, Greensboro, GA 30642 with Rev. John Pike officiating.  The family will receive friends Wednesday, September 7, 2016 from 1:00 p.m. until time for the service at the church.  The family requests any memorials be made to Walker United Methodist Church, 2730 Walker Church Road, Greensboro, GA 30642.  McCommons Funeral Home, 109 W.
