Sherrie Denise Head Leavell, age 48, of Union Point, GA, died Thursday, March 9, 2017 at her residence with her loving family. Born in Monroe, GA on September 29, 1968, she was the daughter of the late Charna Lee Callahan Huff and Eugene Huff. Her early years were spent in Monroe where she received her education. On May 28, 1994 she married William Leavell, Jr. in Madison, GA and they made their home in Greene County.  Sherrie worked for Holiday Cleaners until she became sick. She was a homemaker who was a kind and giving wife, mother, grandmother and friend.  While family was the focal point of her life, Sherrie also enjoyed church, fishing, reading and helping others. She had a heart of gold and truly loved the Lord. She was a member of Grace Fellowship in Greensboro, GA.
 
In addition to her husband, William Leavell, Jr. of Union Point, GA, she is survived by four daughters, Nikki Hegwood and husband Josh, Amanda Manion and husband Ben, and Beth Manders all of Monroe, GA and Heather Vandiver and husband Rodney of Rutledge, GA; sisters, Judy Mitchell and husband Darin and Kim Mayo and husband Keith both of Rutledge, GA; brothers, Jeff Head of Madison, GA and Joe Sargent of Monroe, GA; five grandchildren, Jake Hegwood, Emily Hegwood, Addison Manion, Justin Johnston and Sadie Vandiver; a number of other relatives and many friends.
 
Funeral services will be held Monday, March 13, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at Grace Fellowship, 1971 South Main Street, Greensboro, GA 30642 with Dr. Jimmy Long officiating. Interment will follow in the Greenview Cemetery, Memorial Drive, Greensboro, GA 30642.  Serving as pallbearers are Keith Mayo, Darin Mitchell, Josh Hegwood, Will Leavell, Carl Randolph Leavell and Rick Ward. The family will receive friends Monday from 1:00 p.m. until time for the service at Grace Fellowship.  McCommons Funeral Home, 109 W.
