Sheila Burgess Fambrough

Sheila Burgess Fambrough, age 63, of Woodville, GA, died Friday, August 19, 2016 at Athens Regional Medical Center. Born in Athens, GA on May 30, 1953, she was the daughter of the late Lindbergh “Buckshot” Burgess and Mattie Catherine Bray Burgess Stowe. She received her education from Monroe High School. Sheila worked for Universal Rundle for a few years and then worked in the shipping department of Lena Hy Garment Company in Greensboro, GA from 1976 until 1991. She married Mickey Fambrough on November 7, 1980. She  enjoyed fishing, cooking, baking cakes, her church and visiting with friends.  She was a member of Crawford Pentecostal Church in Crawford, GA.  
    
In addition to her husband, Walker Burton “Mickey” Fambrough, Sheila is survived by a daughter, Tauhwana Michelle Wray (Rodney) of Crawford, GA; a son, Charles Larry Jarrell, Jr. (Lynn) of McDonough, GA; grandchildren, Katelyn Campbell, Catherine Wray, Zach Wray, Emmagrace Wray and Brooke Jarrell; siblings, Doyle Burgess, Darren Burgess, Lamar Burgess, Phyllis Beal, Tina Hix, and Treva Peters; a number of other relatives and many friends.  She was preceded in death by two brothers, Perry Burgess and Darrell Burgess; and a sister, Joan Skelton.
 
Funeral Services will be held, Tuesday, August 23, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at Crawford Pentecostal Church, 804 Athens Road, Crawford, GA 30630 with Rev. Donald Wineinger, Rev. B. G. Miller and Rev. Blake Smith officiating.  Interment will follow in the Penfield Cemetery, 1211 Cemetery Road, Penfield, GA 30669. The family will receive friends Monday, August 22, 2016 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the church. Serving as pallbearers are Charles Cowart, Eddie Boswell, Ferrell Bray, Steve Hix, Paul York, Todd Holder, Mark Holder and Jimmy Hix.
