Sharon Kay Elliott

Sharon Kay Elliott, 67, of Greensboro, Georgia, passed away on Monday, August 18, 2014 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Athens, Georgia.  She was born in Oskaloosa, Iowa on September 25, 1946, to the late Carl Gilbert and Mary Mildred Todd Anderson.  She grew up in Iowa and was a graduate of Washington High School in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.  On July 11, 1964 she married Gawain Eugene Elliott.  Sharon was a project coordinator for Rockwell International retiring in 1998.  In 2000 they moved to Greene County from Gwinnett County.  She derived much pleasure in being outdoors among flowers and nature especially butterflies and gecko’s.  Sharon also loved travelling out west and had visited many of the western states.  Most of all she was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother.

In addition to her husband of fifty years, Gawain Elliott of Greensboro, GA, she is survived by a daughter, Karla Hutchins and fiance’ Marty Adams of Newborn, GA; a son, Chip Elliott and his wife Lyn of Social Circle, GA; two grandchildren Billy Wayne Hutchins and Keeli Rene’ Elliott; a brother, Richard Anderson of Iowa City, Iowa; niece Jill Hoover and nephew, Eric Anderson; other relatives and many friends.

A Memorial Service and Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, August 30th from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Elliott home in Greensboro at 1631 Highway 15 South with Rev.
