Sara Harper Obituary

Sara Lee Parrott Harper, age 88, of Greensboro, Georgia, died Tuesday, February 18, 2003. She was born August 4, 1914 to the late John Thomas Parrott and Mittie Bryan Parrott. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Greensboro.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Woodrow Wilson Harper. She is survived by one daughter, Marcia Broman and husband Charles of Fairfax, VA; one son, Marshall Harper and wife Barbara of Sylvania, GA ; two sisters, Gwendolyn Hughes and Martha Kramm of Greensboro, GA; 4 grandchildren, Elizabeth Elliott, Steven Broman, Brenda Harper and Maxwell Harper; and 4 great grandchildren, Jennifer Elliott, Andrew Elliott, Hunter Broman and Heather Harper.

Funeral Services will be held Friday, February 21, 2003 at 1:00 p.m. at McCommons Chapel with Rev. Richard Chewning officiating. Interment will follow at Greenview Cemetery in Greensboro. Serving as pallbearers are Goodwin Bryan, Alvin Dowdy, Jeff Dowdy, James Bryan, Comer Tolbert, Francis Rizner, Joe Bashore, and Robbie Chapman. The family will receive friends Thursday night from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the funeral home. The family requests that any memorials be made to St. Mary''s Hospice, P O Box 6588, Athens, GA 30604.
