Sadie Bailey Cooper

Sadie Bailey Cooper, 98, of Braselton, GA died Sunday, December 29, 2002. She was born December 21, 1904 in Jackson County, GA, and was a daughter of the late Frank Bailey and Lizzie Wood Bailey. She lived the majority of her life in Braselton but for the past 2 1/2 years she was a resident of Four Seasons Independent Living Community in Winder. She attended Braselton High School and was the oldest living member of Zion Baptist Church in Braselton, GA.

Her husband, Robert Frank Cooper Sr. preceded her in death in 1993. She is survived by one son, Robert F. "Bob" Cooper Jr. & wife Jo Ann of the Liberty Community in White Plains, GA; two granddaughters, Susan Ayers of Braselton, GA and Sheryl Scott and husband Howard of Rome, GA; three great-grandchildren, Chris Bailey, Janna Lemus and David Williams; one sister-in-law, Myrlene Bailey and one niece, Barbara Henry both of Atlanta, GA. She was preceded in death by a brother Brunell Bailey.

Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, December 31, 2002 at 3:00 p.m. at Zion Baptist Church in Braselton, GA with Rev. Mike Phillips officiating. Mrs. Cooper will lie in state at the church from 1:30 p.m. until time for the service during which time the family will receive friends in the Family Life Center at the church. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Serving as pallbearers are Gene Ruark, Roger Ruark, Earl Cooper, Cooledge Cooper, Tommy Cooper and Bob Waldorf.
