Ruth Ann Haupt Sauer
Ruth Ann Haupt Sauer of Greensboro, Georgia, died Wednesday, September 9, 2015 at her residence at the age of 66. Ruth was born in Alpena, Michigan on July 22, 1949 to the late Herman Haupt and Neva Nettles Haupt. She graduated from Alpena High School and married Leo Sauer on May 10, 1969. Ruth worked for Nations Bank in a career that spanned three decades. She served the bank faithfully starting out as a teller and quickly rose through the ranks to be the Branch Manager and then Consumer Product Analyst. Ruth retired in 1993. In 1990 they moved from Lithia Springs to Lake Oconee in Greensboro. She was happiest when she was surrounded by family and friends. She also enjoyed reading.
In addition to her husband of forty-six years, Leo Sauer of Greensboro, she is survived by a son, Lee Andrew Sauer of Atlanta, Georgia; brother, Clair Haupt (Shirley) of Aiken, South Carolina and a grandson, Luke Andrew Sauer. She is survived by other relatives and friends.
A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, September 19, 2015 at 10:30 a.m. at Lake Oconee Lutheran Church, 1089 Lake Oconee Parkway, Eatonton, GA 31024 with Pastor Andy Schroeder officiating. There will be a reception and celebration of her life following the service. The family requests any memorials be made to the Lake Oconee Lutheran Church Building Fund. McCommons Funeral Home, 109 W.
