Ruby Nell Jenkins Porter

Ruby Nell Jenkins Porter, age 60, of Nicholson, GA died Wednesday, August 29, 2007 at her home in Nicholson, GA. Born on January 6, 1947 in Morgan County she was the daughter of the late Porter Jenkins and Ruby Florida Stephens Jenkins. She graduated from Morgan County High School. She was a homemaker and a member of Sandy Creek Baptist Church in Madison, GA.

In addition to her husband, Richard Porter, of Nicholson, GA she is survived by three step daughters, Daisy Virginia White and husband Monty of Madison, GA, Tinie Stalker of Knoxville, TN and Polly Karakos and husband Terry of Madison, GA; a son Johnny Colley and wife Freida of Nicholson, GA; a stepson, Willie Porter and wife Samantha of Covington, GA, a sister, Carolyn Jenkins Quillin of Lake City, FL; five brothers, Cleveland Jenkins of Rutledge, GA, Jimmy Jenkins of Norwood, GA, Jackie Jenkins of Madison, GA, David Jenkins of Madison, GA and Danny Jenkins of Monroe, GA; eleven grandchildren; five great grandchildren; and a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by two sons, Michael Colley and James Colley; and siblings, Bobby Jenkins, Joseph Griffin, James Jenkins and Ruby Lee Jenkins.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, September 1, 2007 at 3:00 p.m. at McCommons Chapel. Interment will follow in the Almond Cemetery in Madison, GA. Serving as pallbearers are Joshua Motes, Michael Porter, Thomas Richey, Tyler Stone, Rodney Dean Jenkins, Donnie Jenkins and Jamie Jenkins.
