Ruby Mae Jones Eubanks

Ruby Mae Jones Eubanks, age 90, of Greshamville, Georgia, died Thursday, August 7, 2003 at Athens Regional Medical Center. She was born on November 18, 1912 in Richmond County to the late Carl Jones and Annie Jones. In the late 1930''s she moved from Augusta to Atlanta to pursue a working career as an inspector at Loveable Brassiere Company on Piedmont Road. Later she worked as a salesperson at Davison''s in downtown Atlanta. After retirement in 1972 she moved to Greshamville where she was a member of Fork Chapel United Methodist Church.

She is survived by a daughter, Norma Nelson and husband Doug of Greshamville, GA; two brothers, Luther Jones and wife Kathy of McDonough, GA and Johnnie Jones and wife Ann of Atlanta, GA; a sister-in-law, Laura Mae Jones of Augusta, GA; two grandchildren, Doug Nelson Jr. and wife Emilie of Tampa, FL and Mike Nelson and wife Christie of Forest Park, GA; and three great grandchildren, Kayla Nelson, Kyle Nelson and Anna Nelson. She was preceded in death by a sister, Irma Redd; and three brothers, Marvin Jones, Irvin Jones and Clarence Jones.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, August 9, 2003 at 2:00 p.m. at Fork Chapel United Methodist Church in Greshamville with Rev. Robert Murphy and Rev. Mike Pritchett officiating. Interment will follow at Greshamville Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers are Joe Jones, Harry Laison, Bill Bryans, Vic Reed, Mark Bowen, Jerry Campbell and W.J. Conner. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Friday night at the funeral home. McCommons Funeral Home, 109 W. Broad St., Greensboro, GA, (706) 453-2626, is in charge of arrangements.
