Roselyn Marie Capelle Hesse

Roselyn “Ro” Marie Capelle Hesse, age 58, of Eatonton, Georgia, died on Tuesday, August 29, 2006 at her residence. Funeral Services will be held Saturday, September 2, 2006 at 3:00 p.m. at Lake Oconee Presbyterian Church with Dr. Joe King officiating. The family will receive friends from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Friday night at Lake Oconee Presbyterian Church and from 2 p.m. until time for the service on Saturday at Lake Oconee Presbyterian Church. Ro loved the Lord with all her heart; she lived her life to worship and glorify God daily. Her sweet spirit served as an inspiration to all who knew her. In spite of failing health, Ro’s spirit remained strong and she was faithful to God, her family, and friends. Her focus was always on others and never on herself. Her warm smile, twinkling eyes, and friendly voice reached out to others even when she was the one with needs. She and her husband Doug were active participants and supporters of Campus Crusade for Christ International, an interdenominational ministry helping take the gospel of Jesus Christ to all nations. Ro and Doug traveled to various parts of the nation and world supporting Campus Crusade ministries. Ro was a member of Lake Oconee Presbyterian Church. Even when she returned to Lake Oconee following months of extensive debilitating medical treatments at M. D. Anderson Cancer Clinic in Texas, she regularly attended the Sunday morning Worship Celebration. Also, she was a faithful participant of a 7:30 a.m. Tuesday women’s Bible study group where she studied, worshiped and prayed with her sisters-in-Christ. Ro was loving, thoughtful, compassionate, generous, giving and fun. She had a great sense of humor, laughed often and listened well. She taught her children kindness by her incredible example. She will be greatly missed by her family, neighbors, and many dear friends whose lives were blessed by knowing her. Born on October 3, 1947 in Elmhurst, Illinois, she was the daughter of the late Fred Capelle and Elise Morose Capelle. She graduated from York High School and attended the University of Illinois. She was a bookkeeper for Hesse Financial Advisors. She is survived by her husband, Douglas Gerald Hesse, of Eatonton, GA; a daughter Megan Marie Hesse Linn and husband Mark of Athens, GA; a son Ryan Douglas Hesse of Washington, D.C.; a granddaughter, Rosemary Linn; two sisters, Judy Mattioli of Itasca, IL and Karen Capelle of Green Valley, AZ, and a host of other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by three brothers, Fred Capelle, Mike Capelle, and Tom Capelle.
