Rosa Mae McGraw Hall, age 89, of Newnan, GA, died Saturday, June 28, 2008 at Peidmont Hospital in Atlanta. She was born in Covington, GA on May 4, 1919 to the late Marion F. McGraw and Carrie Dease McGraw. She grew up and attended school in Savannah, Georgia. In 1937 she married Zack P. Hall and for a time they ran an antique business in Newington, GA. In 1974 they retired to Greensboro, GA and after her husband, Z.P., died in May of 1989, she moved to Newnan to live with her son and family. She was a member of Unity Baptist Church of Newnan. Mrs. Hall was very talented and enjoyed music and reading. She played the piano, organ, guitar and loved to sing in churches.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Zack P. Hall; and siblings, Marion McGraw and Samuel McGraw. She is survived by a son, Randy Hall and wife Odessa of Newnan GA; four grandchildren, Randall Hall, Kendall Hall, Mark Hall and Julia Thomas; five great grandchildren, Tyler Hall, Sarah Hall, Matthew Hall, Phebe Hall and Dixon Hall; and a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, July 1, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. at McCommons Chapel with Rev. Wayne Usry officiating. Interment will follow in the Greensboro City Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers are Kendall Hall, Tyler Hall, Russell Creecy, Michael McGraw, Wayne McGraw and Greg Morris. The family will receive friends from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Tuesday morning at the funeral home. McCommons Funeral Home, 109 W.
