Robert Daniel Hall

Robert Daniel “Bob” Hall, age 77, of Hartwell, GA, died Wednesday, January 7, 2009 at Regency Hospital in Greenville, South Carolina. He was born in Wilkes County on May 9, 1931 to the late James Boyce Hall and Gladys Overton Hall. As a child he attended school in Tignall, Georgia. He later moved to Union Point and lived with his uncle, Richard and Margaret Overton and helped them on their farm. In 1970 he moved from Union Point to Hart County Men’s Home where he was known as “The Boss” and enjoyed watching television, cutting grass and gardening. He was a member of Bethesda Baptist Church of Union Point. Bob is survived by two sisters, Helen Hall Price of Athens, GA and Sara Hall Ingram of Decatur, GA; a brother, James Boyce Hall, Jr. of Stockton, CA; and nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his siblings, Edward Hall, Rosalyn H. Morris, Jack Hall, his twin, William Dewitt “Billy” Hall, Grover Allen Hall and Phillip Hall Griffeth. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, January 10, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. at Bethesda Baptist Church in Union Point, Georgia with Rev. Kagey Barrow, Dr. Michael Lee, Rev. Rob Hill, Rev. Michael Fugate and Rev. James Bowen Officiating. Serving as pallbearers are Lynn Cleveland, Boyce Hall, Chris Gibbs, Charlie Scott, Jerry Hall and Clyde Whittington. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. 2:00 p.m. before the service at Bethesda Baptist Church.
